Things you should know about verbs

Verbs are words that show actions and describe what does the subject do in a sentence. Learning English verbs is a great idea because they are the most important part of any sentence. Without a verb, a sentence doesn't make sense. For example: You every hour. Do you feel like something is missing? That's right! We need a verb here: You eat every hour. Makes more sense now? If you want to know how to recognize verbs in a sentence, it's not that difficult! Most verbs come after a pronoun or noun, just as in the previous example. There are also different types of verbs: action verbs, auxiliary verbs, transitive verbs, intransitive verbs, modal, irregular, stative verbs and of course, phrasal verbs.

What are irregular verbs?

A part of the English verbs need you to add ''-ed'' to form past simple, while there are irregular past tense verbs whose past simple and past participle forms differ. These irregular verbs do not take the normal patterns of spelling. The majority of the verbs of the irregular verbs list are not very commonly used.
